EVOLUTION OF WATERCOLOR: JAMES TENNISON

For our watercolor class we were assigned to choose someone's work to copy. We could choose from anywhere, book or internet. I did not have to search long to stumble upon James Tennison. I love his work, the crispness of his lines and the realism and purity behind his watercolors.  I chose a door scene to copy because I really like the blues as well as the depth that he achieved when there was little real depth. Below is the evolution of how my painting came together. Please note: This is not original work. I copied James Tennison and he is the sole owner of the piece. I will not display my copied piece publicly nor claim it as my own.
